The worldwide corporation Azets Wealth Management has made another strategic move in the North East with the acquisition of the Newcastle-based financial planning firm Laurus Associates. Just around three years ago, Azets bought out Tait Walker.

The founding partners of Laurus Associates, Karen Barwick and Colin Dawson, set the firm up in the year 2002. It specializes in providing investment, pension, and life insurance advice to individuals and businesses, and it became a Chartered Financial Planner in 2019.

Trust planning, investment portfolios, auto-enrollment, employee benefits advising, and pension property purchases are some of the specialist services offered by Laurus. By the end of January 2025, the multimillion-pound deal will have been finalized, guaranteeing that Laurus's clientele will continue to receive service under the Azets banner.

Azets Wealth Management CEO Mark Parkinson spoke highly of Laurus Associates, praising the company for its 23 years of success and the fact that the two companies share a similar culture. Maintaining the high quality of individualized assistance for Laurus's clients was his goal, and he hoped that Azets' team could reap the benefits of Laurus's experience and expertise.

With the addition of five Tait Walker locations, Azets' geographical expansion now encompasses six countries, has 190 offices, and serves over 100,000 clients.

Clients of Laurus Associates may rest certain that their services will be maintained and expanded upon as a result of this merger with Azets Wealth Management. Azets' dedication to expansion and consolidation in the financial services sector is evident in this strategic purchase. The company sees great opportunity in strengthening their position and skills in wealth management in regions like the North East.
